Andrea Peel is Associate Vice Chancellor for Communications & Marketing at UAMS. She oversees several communications initiatives, including internal and external communications, enhanced client services, public relations and emergency/crisis communications. She also provides uniform communications support for key programs that include patient- and family-centered care, an integrated clinical information system and the UAMS-led statewide telemedicine program. She joined UAMS in 2002 as communications manager and was promoted to communications director in 2006 and to associate vice chancellor in 2013.

Before coming to UAMS she spent six years as manager of corporate communications at Alltel Communications. She started her career as a television producer and graphic artist at B&F Advertising in Little Rock. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She is active in the Little Rock community where she sits on many non-profit boards and committees. She is an avid volunteer and supporter of the University of Arkansas Little Rock and the Little Rock Trojans.
