KTHV-TV Little Rock, Arkanasa, the TEGNA CBS  station in Little Rock is looking for a highly skilled artistic Photojournalist who can create shareable and exciting content for television, social media and mobile. We want a photojournalist who can tell great stories on their own or with a team. Our ideal candidates are familiar with the latest photography, editing tools, and techniques. They create unique and exciting content on all platforms. They are proficient with live news-gathering tools and are able to participate in live performance on-air and on live streaming when necessary.

Current driver’s license and ability to operate news gathering vehicle to and from various locations is required.

Responsibilities

  • Passion for capturing video & audio elements that produce compelling and engaging news, sports, features and documentary-style stories in a daily deadline environment.
  • Operate an ENG truck or IP video-based live unit (TVU) when assigned.
  • Be assigned to either work in a team or solo for daily news assignments. 
  • Attend editorial meetings, participate in discussions, and suggest story ideas. 
  • Use creative production techniques such as graphics and new forms of media (viewer pictures, webcam interviews, etc.) to enhance stories. 

Requirements: 

  • BA/BS in journalism, communications or related field preferred or equivalent years of experience  
  • 1-3 years of experience preferred in a newsroom environment. 
  • Experience in photojournalism, editing, and content management systems 
  • Must be flexible with schedule, reliable and dependable  
  • Proven ability to generate creative, engaging, content-driven live shots 
  • Member and active participant in NPPA a plus 
  • Demonstrated news judgment, writing skills, photography experience, and non-linear editing skills.? 
  • Understanding of the tenants of professional journalism 
  • Knowledge of EDIUS, or any Non-Linear base editing system preferred.

KAIT-TV is looking for the next morning anchor for the #1 rated “Good Morning Region 8.” The ideal candidate will be a passionate journalist, aggressive about covering local news. We need an anchor who is involved in the day-to-day operations of the newsroom, including developing and turning enterprise and investigative content.

Job Summary/Description:   

KAIT, Gray Media’s ABC, NBC, CW affiliate, has an immediate opening for a Technical Media Producer. The Technical Media Producer (“TMP”) has the general responsibility for operating the equipment in our broadcast control center that keeps KAIT’s programming on-air and online. The TMP directs live or pre-recorded productions as assigned, using our state-of-the-art Ross Overdrive production automation system. The TMP also handles all master control duties in our facility, such as recording, playback, switching, and quality-checking programming for air.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  •  Monitor and quality control of all inbound and outbound / broadcast signals, as well as ensuring that all content airs as intended and is logged
  •  Maintaining compliance with relevant FCC and other governmental agency regulations
  •  Directing assigned live and pre-recorded productions using Ross Overdrive production automation
  •  Preparing the production rundowns for automation operation by coding the rundown in the AP ENPS / Ross Overdrive plugin
  •  Understanding of all relevant equipment in the studio, production, and technical core areas

Qualifications/Requirements:

  •  2 years previous broadcast or production experience with master control or production experience with master control or production control is preferred, but we will train the right person. Ross Overdrive experience is a plus.
  •  Demonstrated ability to learn new concepts quickly and thoroughly
  •  Proven track record of prioritizing complex tasks
  •  Ability to communicate effectively – written and verbal
  •  Strong commitment to working effectively with and both being trained by and training others in a team environment is a must
