ABIP

learn about the alternative broadcast inspection program and make a request!

Through this program, broadcasters can get mock FCC inspections from an ABA-contracted private inspector. Following completion of an inspection, stations receive a certificate that protects them against surprise inspections from the FCC for three years. This inspection service is provided FREE to ABA members. Take a look at what ABA members who have utilized ABIP have to say below!

The request document may be downloaded below, filled digitally (or printed and scanned), and emailed to mail@arkbroadcasters.org. It’s important to note that they require a signature, so please use the signature function within Acrobat PDF Reader if filling out digitally.

Check out our members’ experiences with ABIP:

The ABIP Inspection Program is much more than a “get out of jail free” certification. Arkansas’s ABIP inspectors provide an excellent 3rd party peek under the hood at what we do. They note and applaud what we do right and point out issues we may have overlooked. They’re a great compass to keep us on track technically and help us stay reg complaint. Our 3 TV stations have been part of the ABIP program for years and will continue to participate in the years to come.”

– Jim Grant, General Manager of VTN-TV

At KFSM-TV we have and will continue to use the Alternative Broadcast Inspection Program (ABIP) service offered through the Arkansas Broadcast Association.  Of all the benefits we experience as an ABA member, as a General Manager I rank the ABIP among the best in value and practicality!”

– Van Comer, General Manager of KFSM-TV

We have taken advantage of this great benefit from ABA for years and the peace of mind as a manager is priceless!” – Jamie Hussey, General Manager of KTHS-FM

Noalmark Broadcasting Corporation has used the ABIP program since 2008 and it has been a complete success with us. Jim Alexander the inspector is such a knowledgeable and wonderful person to work with. The nice thing about the ABIP program is that if you do have some minor problems you are given the opportunity to correct them before the certificates are issued. The benefit of the program is that you are exempt from the FCC inspectors aside from complaints and EAS. I would highly recommend this program to all Arkansas Radio Stations.”
